The storyline was paper thin for us, focusing on the last part of her life, and much of the story of how the events were connected was left untidy. We were jumping from scene to scene with no clear connection between the sequences. The focus seemed to be on Jolie posing for us, while taking away the charm of the real Maria. I never felt like I connected with the characters or felt bought into the film.
