Based on a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE GIRL WITH A NEEDLE follows Karolina (Vic Carmen Zonne), a young factory worker struggling to survive in post-World War I Copenhagen. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dürholm), a charismatic woman who runs an underground adoption agency that helps mothers find adoptive families for their unwanted children. With no other way out, Karolina takes on the role of a nurse. A strong bond forms between the two women, but Karolina’s world falls apart when she discovers the shocking truth about her job.
