Plays in the cast of “Insane Cartoon Animat: The Return of the King (Mountain)” (2023). I’ll admit, I’m a little surprised at the (current) ratings for this show. It’s not terrible by any means, but at the same time it feels a little flat and stretched – maybe from moment to moment. There are some funny lines, but many of them miss the mark or are too silly.

Indira Varma as the Bride is simply the standout performance of the series, and Alan Tudyk as the robot soldier is a close second, but the others are boring, especially David Harbour’s reading of Frankenstein’s Monster. Until the credits, I didn’t even realize that it was his voice. The animation looks very clean and well done when it’s not moving, but despite the new animation technology, it still looks like almost all the movement is happening at less than 10 frames per second, although the battle walls are much more dynamic and fluid. comparatively.
Another personal mystery that may not resonate with everyone (but for me it applies to many shows and movies lately) is that this is a “mature” character
I don’t know if the low frames are meant to make it look like traditional hand-drawn animation, but it ends up looking strangely stiff and cheap, especially when the graphics themselves are so polished. series with everything that follows, but, despite some banal moments of sensuality and sexual jokes, the sexual content is quite mild (nudity is very brief and hidden), but the violence is clear, detailed and frequent. I think that when a show has a lot of violence and most of the sexual content is played for laughs, it feels like it’s aimed at older teenagers rather than adults. Again, perhaps for many this is not to the detriment of the quality of the show, but for those who know what I’m talking about, here it is.
