Parthenope is a woman who bears the name of her city. Is she a siren or a myth? In the Greek myth, Parthenope is a siren who committed suicide after failing to charm Odysseus. Her body was brought by the tide to the place where Castel del Ovo is now built, and for this she gave the name to the city, which later became Naples, Naples. Paolo, directed by Gary, 10/10. Excellent film. An amazing director and an amazing actor. Gary Oldman definitely carried the whole movie and Paolo Sorrentino made a great choice in casting Gary Oldman as John Cheever. The story is good. The film is typically Artsy Fartsy, like all the works of Paolo Sorrentino. John Cheever is a great character played by the great Gary Oldman and his character definitely made the movie so good. This film is definitely worth watching if you like Gary Oldman or feature films with farts. Paolo Sorrentino is a great director, and this film made me think about myself. In fact, this is an underrated masterpiece.
