Synopsis
Follow Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their long-running rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the BBC TV adaptation of Poldark in 2015. Absolutely incredible: the wit, the innuendo, the humour, the characters, the 80s accuracy, the cast, the locations – it’s TV show perfection. This kind of TV has been missing for at least a decade – it has it all. Sentimentality and joy, tears of laughter and sadness, nostalgia on steroids and a cast who play their roles perfectly. I don’t have a single bad word to say about this show. Hats off to the writers, actors, crew and everyone else involved. I’m already on my second viewing because there are so many catchphrases worth remembering that you can catch the first time. Bravo!
