, despite Lego and Warner Bros
Synopsis
A vibrant journey through the life of Pharrell Williams, told through the lens of LEGO animation. Animal Logic, which animated the previous four theatrical Lego films, did not return to animate the film as it was considered to be cheating Warner Bros. both sharing the rights to the original franchise.
and the Lego Group studio logos are made of Lego bricks
Instead, the animation was done at Pure Imagination Studios in Los Angeles and Zebu Animation Studios in India. Both Pure Imagination and Zebu had previously recreated the style of the original film franchise through theme park attractions, PSAs, and the Simpsons (1989) episode “Brick Like Me (2014)”. In early screenings of the film, the Universal logo was not present in the opening..
But you have to ask yourself who was this made for?

A biopic about Pharrell Williams but it’s made with legos, cool and original.
Because it’s too boring to be a kids movie and most adults wouldn’t watch this because they would think it’s a kids movie
I watched it alone last night and I was pretty bored, this biopic made with Lego was the only thing that saved this movie, otherwise no one would be interested except Pharrell Williams super fans. I also don’t know how Focus Features have survived all year, they are the only film company where the theater has been consistently empty every time I go, even play by play, they only had 5 people in total. The other 2 films I saw through focus present this year the auditorium was completely empty and I was the only person in the audioturm, that’s very rare for me to be alone in a theater..
