Synopsis
An agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi fall in love; finding out if their relationship can survive their wildly different lives and intriguing families.. Originally titled “Shiksa”, which is also the last word spoken in the first episode.. I really enjoyed this one! Romantic comedies always follow the same formula, but this one had so many strengths – + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and seamless. They played the characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters are funny, witty, and touching in the best ways. + In a world that promotes representation, this is the first time I’ve seen a Jewish male love interest. I think it showed beautiful and inclusive parts of the religion without putting it on a pedestal in any way. The great writing, great cast, and amazing chemistry made this movie a binge watch for me, followed by a quick search for “Will there be a second season?”. I loved it!
